Macrobiotics You can now learn these skills yourself with special tuition from both Jon and Renata Sandifer. How does Macrobiotics work? What kind of ingredients should you use for your particular condition and way of life? How can you prepare these foods when you have a very busy life? Bespoke Workshops Outline of the Workshop From 11am to 1pm you will join Renata in the kitchen to prepare a macrobiotic meal. This will include all the basics that you need to master. How to prepare Miso soup, create a variety of vegetable dishes, how to prepare and cook whole cereal grains, how to cook beans and bean by-products correctly, how to integrate sea vegetables into your diet, the use of condiments and pickles, how to prepare simple sugar-free desserts. Relax and enjoy your lunch between 1pm and 2pm and appreciate the work that you have also put into it! After lunch from 2pm to 3pm Jon will go into much more detail about cooking styles, ingredients and how to adjust your diet according to the different seasons. He will draw much of his explanations from his popular book Macrobiotics For Beginners published by Piatkus Books. From 3pm to 4pm Jon will explain in more detail how you can assess your own condition. He will also pause with each of the participants and give them specific advice for their condition at present. By the end of the workshop, you will be confident and inspired enough to begin your own practice of macrobiotics. With their combined experience of 45 years of eating this way, raising three healthy children together, Jon and Renata can show you simply and effectively how to get the most from macrobiotics.
He sat on various committees for the European Macrobiotic Assembly throughout the 1980s, and in 1996 he founded the Macrobiotic Association of Great Britain which he then Chaired until recently. His book, Macrobiotics For Beginners, is a popular and practical book covering the subject. Over the years Jon has counselled, taught and demonstrated macrobiotics to thousands of individuals. He has also been called upon to give advice to leading figures in the world of fashion, the entertainment industry and royalty.
As a mother of three children, Renata is very
practical, down-to-earth and fully committed to preparing good quality
macrobiotic food for her family. Like Jon, she has a wealth of experience
that comes from years of practice.
