A Feng Shui Consultation for your Home or Office

Why have a consultation?

With so many books on the subject, magazines and newspapers and the television still covering Feng Shui and its success, it would seem at a glance very easy to use and implement. However, what I have grown to appreciate over the years is that Feng Shui is actually a branch of Chinese Medicine. It is a very profound skill and can make an enormous difference to individuals and families if the Chi is circulating healthily within the property.

Putting together little bits of information that you hear, read in an article or book and applying it with your best intentions, can still be a little haphazard. If you are really looking to make a difference, it is wise to get professional advice. It will always take someone else who has the objectivity and the lack of attachment to the property to make a skilful diagnosis, an accurate survey and clear recommendations.

"Thanks Jon.
The Feng Shui consultation was such a profound experience, nothing can ever be the same."

"Thank you for the Feng Shui consultation last week. It has made a really big impact on us and has already had a huge effect in making us look at our lives very differently."

It is for this precise reason that I would never use my skills to Feng Shui my own space but always invite Feng Shui colleagues to do it on my behalf.

Equally, I could waste many hours attempting successfully or unsuccessfully to take apart the carburettor on my car or to install a new component in my washing machine or try to re-design my website. It might or might not work. Personally, I prefer to use a professional since they have the experience and knowledge making the job quicker and more efficient. These professionals, like myself, are also there for any follow up advice or maintenance if needed.

What you need to do

If you decide to go ahead with a consultation with me then what I will need on the day of the consultation is:-

  • An accurate scale floorplan of your home/office/plot
  • Prior to the consultation I would need the dates of birth (the hour as well if possible) of all the occupants of the home or office.

You would also be well advised to think carefully about your own expectation from the consultation. What are you trying to achieve? What is your goal?

What is involved?

For domestic consultations in the U.K. within the M25 for properties with 2 or 3 bedrooms, expect to pay £375 and to allow for me to be on site for at least 3 hours.

  • I give you a signed copy of one of my 8 books that I have in stock
  • I provide a printed I Ching astrology report of the two main householders at the property and discuss this aspect of Feng Shui when I first arrive.
  • I then take the floorplan that you have prepared together with my Lo Pan compass and my personal handbooks of formulae and begin to survey your property. Initially I begin outside and then work my around the property, room by room. This process can last up to an hour and I need to be left alone as I am taking many readings, making several calculations and drawing up my report at the same time.
  • For the final hour, I sit with you and go over the major points that I have noted and indicate precisely what you need to do. These recommendations vary from property to property and to give you an idea, they could include:- re-hanging a door, re-painting a door, adjusting the angle of a door, redecorating a room, re-positioning a mirror, introducing a water feature, taking down a windchime, recommending more light in a particular area, altering the position of your bed, desk or sofa.

Essentially what I am doing is surveying your space accurately from a Feng Shui perspective. During this process you will discover strengths and weaknesses of your property, the areas that you can activate or use for the benefit of your health or career while at the same time, there may be areas of your property that you need to make adjustments to in order to slow down the Chi or soften any negativity that could be detrimental to your health or your relationship or your work. Personally, I would never want to buy a property until I had two surveys carried out. Firstly, the structural survey and secondly, an accurate Feng Shui analysis. If you treat my work on this level, you will gain a lot from the survey and my insights. If you are looking for a superficial Feng Shui makeover with lots of windchimes, crystals, water features and 3 legged toads, then I am not the person to ask to visit!

Conclusion

With all these complex calculations and formulae there is always a theme that runs through them. I love doing this work as it doesn't matter which angle you approach the subject from, there is always a solution.
